WWE Games - Community Poll on Justin Leeper

    Community Poll on Justin Leeper

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 11:21 AM PDT

A lot of people believe Justin Leeper aka ViolentLee to be a legitimate source of information. Personally, I'm not fully convinced one way or the other but this subreddit isn't about me and I certainly don't speak for everyone. If the community as a whole wants his content to be allowed, so be it.

However, a major reason his content was originally banned was because people were taking his speculative videos as fact and it caused a lot of arguments and unnecessary name-calling between members of the community. If the ban is lifted, just remember that not everything everyone says is always a guarantee, regardless of who it is, and there's no reason to attack each other.

This poll will not be up long. Do you want Justin Leeper content or should the ban on his videos remain in place?

This picture is really assuring. Seriously, I already like this guy, a lot. He sounds like the guy we need to make this game series great again! If you read this Mr. Gilmore, thank you for already trying to be a great dev for the game. The fans needed this!!

Dear Patrick Gillmore and 2K please. Please steal and do this for 2K22

Be obscene. Be... be... obscene. After my Alice Cooper CAW was praised by 333 of you, I decided to make Marilyn Manson. Deciding on what eras to do was tough, but due to the lack of images of his arm tattoos, I went with The Pale Emperor and Golden Age of Grotesque Grotesque.

Some ideas for 2K22's Universe Mode

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 05:58 AM PDT

Ideas for WWE 2K22's Universe Mode:
Disclaimer: I did not play 2K20, so these ideas are based on my time with 2K19. I just want to throw some ideas at 2K, so some of these suggestions are just rough ideas of things I would like to see implemented in Universe mode.

    Superstar roles:
We should be able to divide our roster into certain groups that define how the game uses them. My ideas for such are:
Enhancement: These superstars will be used for squash matches against superstars that are higher on the card.
Mid: These superstars should be the majority of the roster by default.
Part time: These superstars should not be booked in any matches except for PPVs or bigger shows. Instead their rivalries should be furthered through promos, segments and attacks on rivals.

    Rivalries:
In 2K19 most rivalries feature 1-on-1 matches between the two rivals every week, where they usually take turns on attacking each other. I feel however that this is not a fitting representation of how rivalries play out on TV. Here is some input on how I would improve rivalries.

    Storylines:
We should be able to choose a specific storyline when setting up a rivalry. These storylines should not play exactly the same each time a specific one is chosen, but they will obviously be similar. These will help build a story ahead of a big match, instead of being two superstars who attack each other before their 1-on-1 matches every week.

Examples of storylines could be: - Dominant vs underdog (can end as either an underdog victory or a show of dominance).
    - Friends turned rivals.
    - Standing up to a faction (a 3-on-1 rivalry, where 2 of the superstars have supporting roles).
    - Challenging a supernatural superstar.
    - Finding the next number one contender (choose two superstars who will finish their rivalry with a number one contenders match for a chosen title).
    - Brand vs brand storyline (the two superstars will invade their opponent's brand).
    - Returning superstar (the story should start with one of the rivals returning).
    - No specific story (will play out like rivalries in 2K19).

    Also, introduce triple threat rivalries.

    Segments:
Usually on RAW or SmackDown a rivalry is escalated through segments, since this keeps the two rivals from having a 1-on-1 match ahead of their big clash (otherwise people would not pay to see it in real life!).
I think 2K should add segments involving rivals on their shows. The dialogue does not have to be that interesting. Maybe the cutscene can even start at the end of a promo with for example Cole claiming 'Wow, what a promo!".

    Examples of these:
    - A superstar talk-show (who is not one of the two rivals) featuring rival A, which ends with rival B attacking successfully/unsuccessfully.
    - A superstar talk-show with both rivals that end in a staredown/rival A standing tall/rival B standing tall.
    - A promo from rival A, which ends with rival B attacking successfully/unsuccessfully.
    - Rival A cutting a promo in the ring, while Rival B attacks a friend of Rival A backstage.
    - Contract signing that ends with a staredown/rival A standing tall/rival B standing tall.
    - A 'Here is your life' segment that ends with a staredown/rival A standing tall/rival B standing tall.

Other examples of ways to avoid 1-on-1 matches between rivals:
    - Having a friend of Rival A face off against Rival B.
    - Having a tag team (or 3-on-3) match between Rival A and Rival B. (This would especially be good if it could combine two or more rivalries in one match. As an example of this: Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Roman Reigns vs Miz, John Morrison and King Corbin, where the Usos vs Miz/Morrison is one rivalry and Roman Reigns vs King Corbin is another).

Other stuff I would like to see included:
    - Open challenge for a title (like Cena's US open challenge. This will continue until the next PPV, with either random or chosen opponents). - Tournaments (either concluding at a PPV, or being featured in full on the PPV).
    - Having special big shows on RAW and SmackDown:
    - Draft. (After for example WrestleMania, Universe Mode should prompt the player to make a few switches on the roster, with ability to randomize it. They can then be presented as a very short segment with a graphic that shows the superstars who you have switched around during the next show).
    - Anniversary show (will feature title matches).
    - Super show (will feature superstars from multiple brands).
    - A mailing system where superstars can tell you how they feel about their booking.
    - Ratings of PPVs and weekly shows, as seen on GM Mode.
    - In the title history section, we should be able to see how long each reign was, not just the total amount of days. And add a scrolling feature.
    - More superstar specific cutscenes.
    - Selecting attires for tag teams.
    - Being able to pick multiple attires, when selecting which attires to use for a superstar in Universe Mode.

This may be rubbish, but they are just my quick thoughts on how to improve Universe Mode.

@Patrick Gilmore here’s a few of my own personal suggestions to ad to the wwe games franchise going foreword

    Posted: 27 Apr 2020 08:49 PM PDT

    1. More match types (buried alive, 3 Stages of hell, special referee and inferno match)

    2. Create a story. This is a mode that lets people within the wrestling game community use there own creativity to create stories and also share those stories with people on community creations. you can get examples of what this looks like by looking up story designer on youtube it was on games svr 2011- WWE2k14 and is my personal favorite mode.

    3. GM Mode. Everyone in this sub is clamoring for this game mode to come back. It's where you become a wwe general manager and control what your specific brand (either Raw, Smackdown or NXT) if you want a good indicator of what it is watch a playthrough of smackdown vs raw 2008 gm mode or watch vikingsizedgamers concept of what gm mode could be like on the newer games on YouTube.

Those are the main 3 from me, welcome to the wwe games community. We're all looking foreword to the next wrestling game you guys release

Please don't abandon WWE2K20. You don't even have to release any new content, just fix the existing problems. I think it would go a long way to maintain loyalty for the WWE 2K series.

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 12:18 AM PDT

    Hey folks,

Anyone want to draft with me on 2k20 for universe mode? I can't help myself being one sided trying to draft rival brands by myself!

This can be done over reddit, Google drive or Discord

    Cheers :)
