| How WWE 2K Reaches the Next Level. [Article] Posted: 29 May 2020 08:17 AM PDT These guys have a nice window here. Nobody is rushing them, they don't have extreme deadlines. The time is there, the time is NOW. First, lets talk about what I see as the biggest split in the community. You have the GM Mode people, and you have the Universe people, or as I like to call them, the Dollhouse people. GM Mode people: You want an actual simulation. Results based off of your booking, You want to manage contracts, you want to know what fan interest is in the wrestlers you're pushing, you want to see how many people show up to your shows. you want to see ratings, buyrates, etc. You want there to be a POINT to all of this and a goal. Dollhouse people: You want to control EVERYTHING, down to the type of people sitting in the stands at the show you just booked. You don't care what an outside force thinks of your booking, you just want the ability to book your shows exactly the way you want. You want to set the props. You want to control the cutscenes, you want to control exactly what is SAID in the cutscenes. You put over who you want, your show is a 5 star show every time, at least in your mind. You want to tell YOUR story. As someone who identifies as a bit of both of these types, I can see there being too much emphasis on separating the two of these into two different game modes, instead of just catering to both in ONE mode, which would save time and give more incentive to polish said mode. Sliders and Toggles. 2k does this well. Ever heard of a game called NBA2k? No, forget online play. I'm talking about OFFLINE. It is quite easily the greatest simulation for any sports game I have ever played. (I wish AI generated rookies could have a chance to render with tattoo's, though. a small gripe!).Everything you could ever want is there being simulated damn near flawlessly. Oh and if it isn't being simulated flawlessly? They basically give you a slider for EVERYTHING so you can fine tune the simulation to be exactly what you want it to be. Why can't we have this depth in WWE2k? Not only should the game do stuff like have match interferences and faction formations as a toggle option, I should have a slider allowing me to decide just how often I want those two actions to happen. (And they should actually work, because we have time to do some QA now, right?) I want sliders on what types of cutscenes play and how often those cutscenes play, or if I want them to appear in my mode at all. We took a step in the right direction with 2k19 adding in sliders for what match types appear in your show by % and allowing you to just completely decide the layout of how your night plays out match-wise. Do it for cutscenes too! If 2k can give us the option to set something ourselves, they should give it to us, the same way they do in their NBA game. I think the greatest aspect of having a Slider and a Toggle (on/off) for everything, is that you can accommodate any type of player. Don't want to worry about contracts? TURN EM OFF. Want Contracts but don't want them to be so tedious? Let the AI do it!. Want contracts, and want the AI to do them but hate that wrestler morale effects contract negotiation? Change the slider and lower the difficulty of wrestler morale. Don't want the AI aggressively trying to offer your guys contracts behind the scenes? Turn off that mechanic entirely. Want the dudleys to put mae young through a table but don't want sean waltman sh*tting in wrestlers lunches backstage? There's an Xtreme toggle and a slider for how often xpac sh*ts in peoples lunches backstage. Ok, maybe it's not that thorough. The point was that, if you're a Dollhouse player, you can just toggle off all the simulation you don't want and control everything as you wish. If you're a GM Mode guy, you can keep all the sim stuff on and fine tune it to be exactly what you want it to be. If you're a MyCareer guy, you're probably still playing WWE2k20 and adamantly telling everyone that there's nothing wrong with the game. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 29 May 2020 07:54 AM PDT Recently I decided to load up 2K16 and work through the 2K series again and tbf it's better than when I originally played it 5 years ago. My aim is simply to complete 2 years of universe on each game by which time hopefully 2K22 will be out and I should have a backlog of history. The positives The gameplay is fun, the amount of Attitude Era arenas is incredible, you can play any match on the match card in any order, the belts/ titles look amazing in this game and I'm enjoying the roster of Jack Swagger, Bad A## Billy Gunn and William Regal to name a few. The negatives There are obvious limitations to 2K16 though; limited match types, Elimination Chamber is a glitch fest, no Nitro arena or CC (so WCW is on hold until 2K17), the women's roster is very small and you can only have 4 titles/ show (1 major, 1 minor, 1 tag and 1 women's). Finally... I reloaded 2K17 to play whenever that may be and last night had a quick look at the roster and arenas. WCW will indeed be back but I also forgot how good that roster was, especially the tag division with The New Age Outlaws, Dudley Boyz, Von Erichs etc. I can't wait. Basically what I'm trying to say is that if you get chance load 2K16 up again, showcase mode is probably one of the best ones too #HellYeah [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 29 May 2020 04:56 AM PDT It's weird that Kenny Omega 9/10 times is one of the most downloaded people in CAS, but there isn't any sort tutorial out there for creating hair/hairline/shave textures to add to hairstyles or how to use the dye tool to give hair a textured look (and if you seen Omega's hair these are necessary, to capture him correctly).
