    Ideas to Improve Universe Mode Part 1: Promos

    As we all know, Universe Mode hasn't had very many significant changes for the past few games, and this truly limits our dreams of running our own wrestling company. This series of posts are some suggestions, which could improve Universe Mode and make it more fun and realistic to play.

    Part I: Promos

    Custom promos were a great addition to the series, when introduced in WWE 2K18, but were extremely limited to generic options, such as calling out, hyping up the crowd and turning face/heel. With that being said, I propose that we scrap Promos in favour of a new addition to Universe Mode.

    SEGMENTS

    This mode will not only expand on custom promos, but adds much more variety to it, so it doesn't feel like your superstar is coming out and saying the same generic trash every week on Raw. Promos will stay in the game, but different types of basic promos will be added such as...

    • Promos being interrupted by rivals

    • Promos when one superstar is on the stage

    • Tag team promos

    • In-ring interviews

    • Backstage Interviews

    • Talk shows (such as MizTV and even custom shows) and more

    Additionally, there will also be more special types of promos, reserved for the build-up to a PPV event, such as...

    • Contract signings

    • Legend appearances (including their own catchphrases and everything)

    • Brawls

    This is done so that storylines feel more special in the games, similarly to real-life WWE, and having contract signings gives off a 'big fight' feel. Additionally, every promo will now not only show a superstar's full entrance, but include a championship title with them (or a prop, depending on the type of feud). Another new addition will be the ability to edit the text in your promos, similarly to the 'Create a Story' feature back in the old WWE games, and you can also preview the promos, beforehand, thus giving you near-endless opportunities for your dream promo.

    As well as promos, more new things can be added, via Create a Video (which I would expand to a maximum of 5 minutes), as part of the actual 'Segments'. These videos could include:

    • Hype promos for a PPV Match

    • Vignettes for a new gimmick/superstar

    • Pre-recorded promos (which can be put into some basic promos, mentioned above)

    • Mr Wyatt's Neighbourhood Firefly Fun-House

    Same with promos above, your own text can be added to the promos and each promo/segment can come in different variations, depending on the feud that you want to book.

    If you're building a feud, but you want to keep track when it comes to creating promos, you can always replay your old promos, with the new 'Replay' system, which will be explained in more detail in the coming posts.

    How do you use the TV title in your universe?

    Since I don't really enjoy tag team matches in WWE 2k20 I'm thinking of changing the Tag Team Titles for a third singles title cause I have a massive mid-card (European Championship on RAW and WCW TV Title on Nitro) .

    How would you use it? Defending it only in TV shows or also in PPVs? How many times a month?

    I'm also thinking of making something like if the champions defends the title X times he gets a shot for the second minor title, but if he does it Xx2 it could be for the World title.

    Give me your thoughts please.

    Hey guys. In my universe - Roman Reigns was fighting against Braun Strowman, but he lost and he got injury (major injury) and when he's gonna return back from Injury, i want him to be heel, but i don't know which tag team would be perfect for him - AOP, Wyatt Family, or maybe who would be perfect partner for him (heels) ?? And then he's gonna seek for revenge against The SHIELD (Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins) - for not saving him while Braun Strowman was attacking him. And then i need to know who would be perfect 3rd SHIELD member ? - Finn Balor, AJ Styles ??

    Universe mode tag team glitch

    when I delete a tag team in my universe mode the game deletes all my other tag teams I've created. And if I tweak there move set too much the game crashes just wanted to know if anyone else has the problem and has a solution on how to deal with it.
